From 1932:
I read recently of an ingenious plan put forward by Russian engineers, for making the White Sea and the northern coasts of Siberia warm, by putting a dam across the Kara Sea.I wonder whatever happened to that plan. Is it obviously wrong or infeasible in hindsight? Was the dam to go merely across the Kara Strait, or was the plan to build a ~500km dam across the Kara Sea?
